Discord is a free online service, in which students can talk and interact! You can join channels (similar to mini-group chats) based on the classes you have for the semester, participate in conversations on other random, fun topic channels in the server and even go on call to talk with one and another, which by hearing each other's voices and seeing each other's voice's, you'll feel less isolated. It's a great way to stay connected with the others in your grade and get help as well, al you need to do is create a free account and join the server! If you like, you can also download the app, although there is a website version as well!
